Adprep command. When intergrating Server 2008R2 into an existing Server 2008 AD Domain, ensure that you adprep /forestprep from the adprep folder located in the Server 2008R2 installer and run it on the Server 2008 AD DC.

This happens when the DC AD FSMO is brough back online inproperly causing the USN to conflict the USN on the existing AD thats not FSMO. Solution is if the fsmo status is healthy than it is advisable to bring down the DC(the one without the fsmo- dcpromo /forceremoval). Than do the following on the FSMO:
1. Start the Netlogon Service
2. Enable outboound replication with the following command "C:\>repadmin /options svr01dc -disable_outbound_repl
Current DSA Options: IS_GC DISABLE_OUTBOUND_REPL
New DSA Options: IS_GC"
4. Enable inbound replication "C:\>repadmin /options svr01dc -disable_inbound_repl
Current DSA Options: IS_GC DISABLE_INBOUND_REPL DISABLE_OUTBOUND_REPL
New DSA Options: IS_GC DISABLE_OUTBOUND_REPL"
5.Start the Windows Time Service to solve this error "A Time Server could not be located.
         The server holding the PDC role is down.
         Warning: DcGetDcName(GOOD_TIME_SERVER_PREFERRED) call failed, error
         1355
         A Good Time Server could not be located.
         Warning: DcGetDcName(KDC_REQUIRED) call failed, error 1355"
6.Run "dcdiag" to confirm problem is solved and Active Directory is healthy".

Note: Run "netdom query /domain:latiffesa.com fsmo" to verify the fsmo is up and available to service the infrastructure.

  

Switch Port connected to PC in a vlan should be untag while Trunk port connecting switch to switch should be Tagged.

This issue only effects medium to large organization. You may wonder why there are some computers in your organization can't access the Internet while other can (Firewall and Proxy allows everyone access). Those computers that cant access the Internet has the following symtoms: 
1. Nslookup test for FQDN is successfull but web browser cant access the Internet
2. Tracert command is only up to your internal LAN (other computers that can access the Internet can tracert up to WAN)

This issue can be resolved with the following steps:
1. Services.msc | Windows Defender | click start than immediately click stop before it stops by itself.
2. Restart Windows
3. Open control panel than start Windows Defender and wait for a few seconds. Now it will work.

Opening the properties for your wifi adapter and changing anything...such as tick LLDP click OK or untick LLDP than OK. That will solve the problem and once you restart Surafce ...repeat the same process again :)
